Dr. Weng’s Recommended CBD regimen for Students with Mild to Moderate Anxiety
- Start with 3 to 5 drops of CBD tincture under tongue upon awakening. Hold liquid under tongue for at least 45 seconds before swallowing. This will have an onset in about 5 minutes or less.
- Take 25mg CBD capsule 30 to 60 minutes after ingesting morning medications. This will have an onset in about 45 minutes.
- Take 3-5 drops (same as step 1) around 3 pm and then again just before bedtime.
Each drop of our tincture contains about 0.6mg of CBD (a very small amount), which is often all that is needed. However, one may increase drops by doubling the number of drops every 2 to 3 days if needed and as needed.
If a person has panic attacks at night despite this regimen, I recommend either taking the CBD capsule at bedtime instead of the morning and continue the drops the same way OR adding a 25 mg capsule at bedtime. Also, the drops can be taken on an as-needed basis for acute anxiety episodes/attacks.
For acute Anxiety/Panic, attacks-take 1/2 dropperful under the tongue and hold for 45 seconds.
Another option for acute panic attacks is the oral-mucosal CBD extract. Apply a pea size amount on your index finger and rub it in for 15 seconds thoroughly. This should stop the attacks within moments.
