A Message from Dr. Weng...

Our Head Physician

Here at Baltimore Progressive Compassionate Care, we work to get you to a place where you can begin to live a better quality of life. Where the idea of going out for a walk, without constant pain or feeling “doped up” is a reality. A day where you are not checking and rechecking each thought when at work, because your anxiety just won’t let up. We do this specifically by working with you and your physician to decrease some or many of your medications that may be contributing to you feeling worse while simultaneously figuring out the best regimen for you. This includes determining when, how much, and by which method you should start taking CBD.

This is all done in a compassionate and non-judgemental environment.

We’ve listened to countless patients with chronic pain report accounts of what sounds like emotional abuse by some healthcare providers and staff who choose to treat patients with chronic pain syndrome for a living. This no doubt is in an effort to control the plague of accidental overdoses that have surged 5 fold since the late 1990s. The rates of both accidental overdoses and prescription narcotics have both gone up in parallel. Thus the intense scrutiny and fear that many physicians are under. And where does that leave the patient? Not in a great place. So an important goal in improving quality of life is to get off prescription narcotics completely. These medications were never intended for long term use and the sooner you can wean off the better. CBD has given many patients hope and success in coming off pain medications, muscle relaxants like flexeril, sedatives like xanax and valium and others medications like lyrica and gabapentin.

If any of the above scenarios relate to you, we look forward to supporting you on your journey to a better quality of life.

Dr. Charles T. Weng, III

What is CBD?

CBD is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis which is currently being scientifically investigated to aide in the treatment of a wide variety of medical conditions.

Cannabis doesn’t mean marijuana, but is the genus name, and general umbrella term which all forms of marijuana and hemp fall under.

I wake up almost everyday with severe anxiety, I need something to calm me. My depression also gets the best of me I barely been outside in the past year. And I also suffer from extreme cramping in both legs, where I fall to the floor and scream. I need help.
